Descriptive Flexfields not recognized in Award Approval BPM rules

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Unable to route Award approvals using Descriptive Flexfield attributes. Same atributes are used for Negotiation approvals and it works fine.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Approvals should route based on the rules defined using DFF attributes.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup Sourcing Header attributes. DFF is used to dynamically populate values which is to be used as an approver.
2. Setup Negotiation approval and award approval rules were approval action is routed to same DFF attribute.
3. Negotiation approvals works fine but award approvals doesn't.
