Fusion Global HR: Parallel Approval With Approval Groups And Advanced Rule Conditions is not Routing Correctly (Doc ID 2939266.1)

Last updated on APRIL 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Global Human Resources Cloud Service - Version 11.13.22.10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
If there is only one approval rule condition for routing, the rule works as expected where it will go to one approval group at a time . When a second condition is added, the transaction goes to multiple approval groups at the same time instead of sequentially.

Both rules are checking what role a user has and routing to an approval group.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect that when a second condition has been added to the approval rule, the routing will go from one approval group to the next and not to all the approval groups at the same time.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Configure an advanced approval rule for requesting a new position.
My Client Groups > Quick Action: Position Details > Select option to add a new approval and then submit the request.

Your goal is to configure the approval to do the following:

If requestor has user role Administrator View All (security role) > then route to the following approval groups:
1. Approval group one (only one team member from this approval group should be required to approve) >
2. Approval group two (only one team member from this approval group should be required to approve) >
3. Approval group three (only one team member from this approval group should be required to approve)

If requestor has user does not have Administrator View All (security role) then the approval should route to >
1. Approval group two (only one team member from this approval group should be required to approve)
2. Approval group three (only one team member from this approval group should be required to approve)
