Symptoms
Error occurs when Credit Memo Request Approval
We are using Credit Memo BPM approval rules for disputes (Credit memo request). Some of the credit memo request are in Error and system is displaying below error message for credit memo notifications:

com.oracle.bpel.client.BPELFault: faultName: {{http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/business-process/}selectionFailure} messageType: {{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}RuntimeFaultMessage} parts: {{ summary=The value is invalid. The result of from-spec is null. Either the from node value or the xpath query in the from node value was invalid. According to BPEL4WS spec 1.1 section 14.3, the from node value should not be empty. The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Review AR invoice# 10530686
- Click on Notes: >
Receivables Credit memo Request Number 8780 with Dispute Amount 392,59 USD, Credit Memo Reason FRTV, Internal Comment.
- Click on Approval notification# 8780 > see the above error displayed
