Last updated on MAY 03, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Database Cloud Service - Version N/A to N/A [Release 1.0]
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Exadata Cloud Service - Version N/A to N/A [Release N/A]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Deleting sparse clone's TestMaster DB snapshots might not reclaim the used space from the disk. This problem is intermittent as there needs to be a correct sequence of DB snapshot and DB clone creations and deletions in order to observe the issue. However, the problem becomes more apparent over time as it escalates while DB snapshots and DB clones are created one after the other, making it difficult to track which DB clones contain which trailing dbhomes.
