New Deals Having LAST_DML_TYPE As 'U'

Goal
Create a new Deal from MFCS front end and press save and close on the Deal. The deal gets created and an Entry is made in RDS for that deal with LAST_DML_TYPE as 'U'.
Even though the deal was newly created the LAST_DML_TYPE that gets updated in RDS for the same is 'U' (Update) instead of 'I'(Insert).
Could you please let us know why such a discrepancy is happening?
