Unable To Call External Secure REST Endpoints From Visual Builder Bundled With Fusion Application POD

Goal
The Visual Builder runtime within Fusion Applications (FA) has the limitations described in
Enabling Secured REST calls from VBS to custom secured REST Services using Oracle Fusion Application Composer
The REST endpoints must be:
- An Oracle Fusion Applications REST API, or more precisely it must be secured with Oracle Fusion Applications Identity Stack
- Or the endpoint has no authentication security (SSL is ok)
This means if you want to call an authenticated secured REST endpoint that has nothing to do with Oracle Fusion Applications, e.g. calling Oracle Integration Cloud from a VB then you cannot.

Will the feature of calling external endpoints with authentication from Visual Builder bundled with FA available? When, just in case?
Till then what is Oracle recommendation on which option to use? Do we have to go for full-license Visual Builder standalone to achieve this?
