Proposed Grade Step not defaulting New Base Salary and Compensation Amount in Compensation worksheet

User is trying to default the salary details "Compensation Amount - Component 1" based on the grade selected. The "Proposed Grade Step" column has been enabled on the worksheet and user can see the list of grades in the drop down. However, the "Compensation Amount - Component 1" is not getting defaulted once the grade was selected.

Grade Ladder setup met the conditions as listed in the documentation:

In the worksheet, salary details should default based on grade selected in the corresponding column.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Go to My Client Groups > Compensation > Workforce Compensation Plans and:

1. Check the Plan Setup and make sure to
Enable 'Proposed Grade Step' column
Enable 'Base Salary - New'
Enable 'Compensation Amount - Component 1' and set 'Post as Salary' as Yes.

2. Go to Worksheet and see that the new salary values are not updating when selecting the Proposed Grade Step in the corresponding column.
