A Document URL Is Not Being Generated By Unifier When A Document Is Published In Primavera Unifier Document Management (Doc ID 2950775.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 22.9 and later
Primavera Unifier - Version 22.12 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a Unifier Document is published in Document Manager, there is a "Document URL" data element that is populated in the associated Business Process (BP) record for that document. The document can be viewed in Document Manager and the "Document URL" value is displayed as: https://<unifierurl>/link/dm/file/download/XXXXX

However, there is a User Defined Report (UDR) with a data source from the BP in question and when running the UDR, not all populated "Document URL's" are being displayed in the report results. The Document URL fields for several BP records in the UDR results are blank.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------------------
The UDR should consistently display the "Document URL" field if it is in the BP record and the document is published.
It should be: https://<unifierurl>/link/dm/file/download/XXXXX

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Unifier.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell where the issue has been observed > Create "BP1" record # BP1-0001 > Attach file "ABCD1234.PDF".
  3. File "ABCD1234.PDF" is published to Document Manager in the same Project/Shell at Documents > Project Documents > BP1 > Find "ABCD1234.PDF" > In right pane, view "Properties" tab > scroll down to the "Document URL" and it is displayed correctly.
  4. Note that the Document URL for this document is: https://<unifierurl>/link/dm/file/download/XXXXX
  5. Navigate to Company Workspace > User Mode > Reports > User-Defined > Find and run “UDR1 for BP1 Document URLs” > Select "Excel" Report Format > Run Report.
  6. Report results do not consistently display a value in the "Document URL" field.
  7. Edit the UDR > Columns tab > Scroll down , note that "Document URL" is selected and it is coming from the Document Attributes form.
