Sys Numeric Query Based Fields Are Being Displayed in the Picker Window with the Wrong Number of Decimal Places (Doc ID 2950794.1)

Last updated on MAY 26, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 23.2 to 23.4 [Release 23.2 to 23.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating a new Business Process (BP) record and using the Purchase Order (PO) picker, users will see approximately 8 decimal places being displayed on "SYS Numeric Query Based" data elements within the picker window.
However, when viewing the actual Purchase Order BP log Unifier correctly displays these "SYS Numeric Query Based" DE fields with 2 decimal places.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
------------------------------
The customer expectation is that when creating a new BP record and using the Purchase Order picker, all "SYS Numeric Query Based" fields displaying amounts/cost should display 2 decimal places.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell where the issue has been observed > Upper Level BP node > Purchase Order > Open any PO record > Note that in the BP log all of the "Amount" fields display values with 2 decimal places.
  3. Navigate to the same Project/Shell > Business Process log in question > Click "+Create" > Select the workflow as needed > In upper form block click picker on "Contract/PO" > In the Purchase Order picker window note that some amount fields are displayed with 2 decimal places, this is expected behavior.  However, there are some "SYS Numeric Query Based" fields that are displaying 8 decimal places to the right of the decimal point which is not correct.
