When Attempting to save a Project Cost Sheet Budget Distribution, Unifier Starts Processing the Request but It Never Completes (Doc ID 2951049.1)

When attempting to update the Budget Distribution in a Project Cost Sheet, after clicking "Save & Lock" the processing circle in the browser just spins and spins. After 10 minutes there is no change and no errors. The user ends up having to cancel and close the Budget Distribution window.

User expects to be able to save Budget Distribution changes to Project Cost Sheet and for this process to complete within a few seconds.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to Project/Shell where the issue has been observed > User Mode > Cost Manager > Cost Sheet > Open "Project Cost Sheet" > Menu Options > Budget Distribution.
  3. Modify the Budget Distribution fields as needed.
  4. Click "Save & Lock".
  5. The browser displays the "spinning processing wheel" and after watching it for 10 minutes there is no error, and it has not completed.
  6. The Budget Distribution window must be closed in order to move on to any other Unifier action, but upon reopening the Budget Distribution, it does not seem to have saved the change(s).
