Data Not Loading In Rich Text Data Element When Added Using REST Web Services (Doc ID 2951323.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When updating a Rich Text Data Element on a Business Process record via REST web services, the information is never populated on the record Upper Form and instead it only shows "Loading...".

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The data passed to the record should update accordingly on the BP Upper Form.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a BP record that contains a SYS RICH TEXT Data Element.
  2. Using REST V1 update the RTE on the newly created BP record. Note that the Status code received is "200".
  3. Navigate to the updated record and open it. Note that the RTE displays 'Loading..." and the data passed to the record never populates.
