Sending E-mails From Oracle Content Management Site (Doc ID 2951796.1)

Goal

We are developing a new site using Oracle Sites. We have a contact form which has to send an email when the visitor clicks "send". Problem is that we can´t use the simple href="Mailto....." for security reasons. So we are researching alternatives to do it using javascript from the browser. We can't use https://developer.oracle.com/learn/technical-articles/nodejs-sendmail-ocii as it exposes the smtp server and authentication credentials from the browser which is the case if we include it in the component javascript client side according to that example.
