Symptoms


Not able to use Contract approval escalation as per the seeded functionality


ERROR
-----------------------

The approval history can't be displayed because the current user does not have any manager assigned. Error fetching management list using Hierarchy Provider Failed to walk up to the hierarchy for principal <e-mail>. Check Starting Point/Task Creator and Upto Approver values and Hierarchy Provider setup 

 

 

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Submit the contract for approval
2. The contract needs to be escalated at the user's manager level
3. Got an error and the flow is stopped
