OFS: Updating A WorkSchedule Via API And GUI Yields Different Results (Doc ID 2957978.1)

Last updated on JULY 03, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Cloud Field Service - Version 23.B.02 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The final results displayed on a resource's calendar on OFS GUI after an update done via API x an update done via OFS GUI are different.

When using the GUI to update a schedule in ORACLE FIELD SERVICE, when adding the schedule the conflicts with 'shift', 'working', 'extra_working', and 'extra_shift' record types are resolved automatically. When a schedule is updated via API call, however, the schedule will write to the resource record, but the only conflicts that get resolved is with existing 'schedule' record types. 'Shift', 'extra_shift', 'working', and 'extra_working' records are ignored - i.e. they remain on the system.
