Error "Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files." When Attempting to Install or Upgrade P6 Professional via Clickonce (Doc ID 2959727.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to install or upgrade P6 Professional from the ClickOnce link in the Cloud Portal, the following error occurs:

Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files.

The ClickOnce error log lists the following:

- Stack trace:
    at System.Deployment.Application.SystemNetDownloader.DownloadSingleFile(DownloadQueueItem next)
    at System.Deployment.Application.SystemNetDownloader.DownloadAllFiles()
    at System.Deployment.Application.FileDownloader.Download(SubscriptionState subState, X509Certificate2 clientCertificate)

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Brows to the Oracle Cloud portal and click the Install P6 Professional link.
  2. Select the option to install 64-bit P6 Professional.
  3. Once the setup.exe file is downloaded, run it.
  4. Observe the reported error.
