Conditional Auto Creation Does Not Create New Record After Removing The Old Linked Record
(Doc ID 2962033.1)
Last updated on JULY 21, 2023
Applies to:
Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 23.4 to 23.7 [Release 23.4 to 23.7]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On : 23.4 version, Unifier Application
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
When condition based auto-creation is enabled, editing the source Business Process (BP) record to remove the original entry for the BP Creator and re-submitting it, the source BP record still links to the original auto-created destination BP record instead of auto-creating a second, new, destination record.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Editing the source BP record to remove the originally auto-created destination BP record and resubmitting should auto-create a new destination BP record when the auto-creation condition is met.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Project admin mode setup Source BP > Auto-creation tab > Enable Condition based auto-creation > Condition is X.
- Go to User mode >Source BP > Open the Record > Edit > observe that BP Creator Data Element (DE) has the originally created destination BP record linked.
- There is a remove icon (X) beside the BP Creator entry, click it to remove the old linked destination BP record entry > Submit.
- Go back to reopen this source BP record again and find that the BP Creator DE still shows a link to the originally created destination BP record, and a second auto-created destination record is not created.
