ENH REQ: Avoid The Creation Of Deliveries Prior To Complete Full Picking On Partial Delivery CO (Doc ID 2962222.1)

Last updated on JULY 24, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Operations Cloud Service - Version 23.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Describe how the current product functionality is insufficient.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Users are able to initiate the deliveries with incomplete CO picks. This represents lack of control and a misleading process.

The client wants a stepped process where the system controls as much as possible what users can do next on Customer Order’s (CO).
We checked the “Dispatch Incomplete CO Delivery” security permission, but this only applies on Customer Orders created as Partial Delivery = No (cannot be used by this customer).

In case CO is not fully picked and based on the configuration, the system would restrict the user from moving to the next step - creation of deliveries.

Provide a detailed description of the Enhancement Request.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ideally if there could be a new Store Configuration to block users from creating deliveries on incomplete CO picks, this would be a great and a useful feature. It would be an extra validation for partial delivery CO’s.
The user would either fully pick the order, or cancel the remaining quantities assuming short picks – and the configuration would then allow the creation of deliveries.

Describe how this Enhancement will benefit your business.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Users will start being guided by the system on their next operation.
