Auto-populated "Date Only" Field Showing Wrong Date At Certain Times (Doc ID 2963898.1)

Last updated on JULY 28, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 23.3 to 23.6 [Release 23.3 to 23.6]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is a Business Process (BP) upper form with a “Date Only” picker that is being Auto-Populated from a "Constant value = today date/time". Depending on the time of day that the BP record is being created, the date may be displayed as "Today" but after an evening hour that coincides with 00:00 UTC it will be displayed as tomorrow's date.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
----------------------------
The customer expectation is that the User Preference time zone setting should determine the date that the "Date Only" picker is being populated with.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell where the issue has been identified > User Mode > Business Processes > "BP1".
  3. Click +Create > In the Upper Form block note that "Date of Work" is the same as today's date if it falls between two User Preference times daily. For example, between 00:00AM and 07:00PM it will display today's date. So in this same example between 07:00PM- 00:00AM that evening local time the date that is displayed is tomorrow's date.
