ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Stock count authorization does not impact SOH if done at the child level
You have identified that if an ad-hoc stock count with a single child is confirmed at the child level, the stock count status changes to complete which means there is no further authorization possible at the master stock count level. However, in this case, SOH is not updated (No adjustments passed) on authorization and in the backend, APPROVED_QUANTITY in the stock_count_line_item table is not populated.
Expectation: If stock count status is changed to authorize/completed, inventory adjustments should have been passed and SOH would have been updated.
Please note you have tested this ad-hoc however, it might be the same for unit stock counts too.
In case stock count is authorized from the master screen using 'confirm authorization', counted quantity is automatically taken as auth quantity. Won't the same behavior be reflected when a child is confirmed using the 'confirm child' button? Is it mandatory to click on update auth quantity even when the user does not want to make any changes?
If this is designed behavior, it needs a change because this is just like adding clicks for users to perform. Please share your thoughts.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If the stock count status is changed to authorize/completed, inventory adjustments should have been passed and SOH would have been updated.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Create an Ad-hoc stock count
2) Scan an item having SOH = 10
3) Enter count quantity as 9 (Or scan 9 times)
4) Complete the count
5) Go to EICS, stock count authorization screen
6) Open stock count child
7) Confirm the child and save
8) Verify stock count is in authorize| completed status i.e. phase 3, status 14
Expectation: 9 is considered as auth quantity and the new SOH is expected to be 9 i.e., counted quantity
Current behavior: SOH is still 10 and no unit stock count adjustment passed. That means there is no entry in the store_item_stock_history table.
