Barcode / QR Code scanner does not work on mobile device browser (Doc ID 2967314.1)

If an activity is started from the Oracle Field Service mobile app, clicking the barcode scan property will open the camera and capture the code. However, if the same operation is performed from the mobile device browser, then the system does nothing. Does this functionality only work in the Oracle Field Service mobile app?
