Last updated on AUGUST 23, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Enterprise Contracts Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.23.04.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

The customer performs some changes on an old Purchase Order and resubmits the Purchase Order for approval.

An error pop-up explains that the customer needs to add an amended description to the clause that was modified at some point in time

When the customer performs those steps the standard clause becomes a non-standard clause at the purchase order level

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The customer wants to keep the clause as standard, also for the old Purchase orders, even though some small changes were made to the clause

STEPS
-----------------------
1) Update the contract terms in terms library
2) Create a change order on one of the existing clauses from the Terms Template
3) Submit for approval the old Purchase Order
4) Clause error will appear on the screen
5) The error informing the amendment description needs to be added to the modified clause
6) If the customer performs the suggested step and adds the amended description the clause become non-standard at the Purchase Order level
