When attempting to roll back a payroll process that had processed the Gratuity element, the following error can be seen and the records are not rolled back:

An internal assertion test couldn't be completed at location remove_rel_contribs.chk_rel_defbal_exists. Contact your help desk.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Process a payroll run/quickpay that includes the Gratuity element
2. Subsequently attempt to roll back the respective run
3. The Roll back process completes with an error and the payroll results are not rolled back
