REST API Call to Update A Business Process (BP) Record Using the V2 Method Does Not Update the Record As Expected (Doc ID 2969894.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 23.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
--------------------------------
When using V2 method to update a Business Process (BP) record via the REST API, the request results in a Status 200 in the REST client. This would seem to indicate that the call was successful, however it was noted that the BP record being updated is not changed and the records Audit Log doesn't display the REST activity.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
------------------------------
The targeted BP record data elements should be updated per the REST API call data fields and the record Audit Log should display the REST activity.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Setup Postman to send calls to Unifier environment.
  2. Send UpdateBPRecordV2 call to update a data element in a BP record.
  3. Postman displays Status 200 for the call which seems to indicate success.
  4. Review the targeted BP record: The Upper Form fields were not updated as per the web service call and the BP Record Audit Log does not display the REST call(s) that were sent.
