Cost Code Must Be Re-selected in Detail Form after Removing Reference (Doc ID 2970692.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When a user selects a Reference in the Detail form and then a Cost Code, but then removes the Reference and selects a new Cost Code, the user is required to select the Cost Code an additional time because it did not remain selected as expected.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
For the Cost Code to remain selected.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the affected Business Process.
  2. Select add Line Item.
  3. Choose a Reference and Cost Code.
  4. Delete the Reference and observe the Cost Code was removed too, as expected.
  5. Add a new Cost Code.
  6. Observe the Cost Code was removed, when it should not have been.
