Oracle Retail Enterprise Inventory Cloud Service v23.2.301.0
Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service version v19.3.xxx

Details

With the release of version 23.2.301.0, a self-serve capability has been added for customers to manage the Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service (RICS) integration user when SIOCS (v23.2.301.0+) is integrated with RICS release 19.x. The Customer Administration User must create an IDCS user with the required IDCS admin groups to access the publisher endpoints. The same user credentials must then be configured on the Credential Administration screen. This applies to both non production and production environments.

For further details, see the Integration chapter, Security Considerations section of the Oracle Retail Enterprise Inventory Cloud Service Administration Guide.

This information has been documented in the Release Readiness Guide published to Oracle Help Center on July 31st 2023.

Actions

Customer Cloud Service Administrator to follow steps listed in this section when the Retail Enterprise Inventory Cloud Service (EICS) environments are updated to version 23.2.301.0 and handed over by Oracle. This will allow for successful integration from EICS to RIB (Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service version 19.x).

  1. Create a new user in Oracle identity Cloud Service (IDCS).
  2. Assign IDCS groups required - ribAdminGroup / ribAdminGroup_preprod
  3. Update the rib-user credentials in the SIOCS Web Client. Refer to Technical Maintenance Screens (Credential Administration section) of the Administration Guide.
  4. Outbound MPS messages from SIOCS should get successfully published to the RIB.
Note: Steps 1 and 2 can be performed in advance and the RIB integration user details set aside to be used in step 3 after the EICS environment has been updated to version 23.2.301.0.
