ADB - Action Required For Autonomous Database Serverless That Use TLS Authentication (Doc ID 2978548.1)

Goal

Customers are receiving an email notification with the following content:

 

Hello,

 

We detected you are using wrong port (1522) for TLS connections. You should be using 1521 port for TLS connections. 1522 port is for mTLS connections and that requires wallet.

• Database: <DATABASE_NAME>

• Tenancy: <TENANCY_NAME>

• Region: <REGION>

 

Please refer to the documentation from the link provided below, which clearly states designated ports for TLS (1521) and mTLS (1522):

Connect to Autonomous Database Using a Client Application

 

Please note there will be change to enforce 1521 port for TLS connection and 1522 for mTLS connection. Please update your autonomous database serverless connect string to use 1521 for TLS connection by Oct 15th 2023.
