OML Connections Are Showing As The Root User Instead of Oracle
(Doc ID 2979322.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Machine Learning - Version 1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
It is a requirement to install Python-3.9 as part of Oracle Machine Learning configuration.
This installation was successful, and performed as the oracle user.
Below is the sample connect string being used for the OML connection:
oml.connect(user='<oml_user>', password='<oml_user_password>', host='<myhost>', port=1521, sid='<mysid>')
However, when the connection is established, the user is shown as "root" instead of the expected oracle.
Why is the user being shown as root instead of the expected value of oracle?
