Data Element Must Be Unique (Either Shell or Company Level) Condition Is Not Working Properly

Symptoms
In a Business Process (BP) added two unique condition (i.e. Document Number must be unique at Company level & Client Document Number field must be unique at Project/Shell level).
When trying to import data in this BP, the following alert is generated: Client document Number / Document Number must be Unique.
When attempting to create new records via csv import the following alert is generated:
ALERT

The value for the Field Document Number must be Unique.
There is another record containing the same value for this field.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Log into the environment
- Go to the Shell
- Go to the BP
- Try to import data in this BP via .cvs
- Received error: The value for the Field Document Number must be Unique.
