FUSION:SCM:CST:In-Transit Movements Between Inventory Organization Or Subinventories Are Costed And Accounted, Even When Account Intra-Valuation Unit Transfers Flag Is Turned Off On Cost Profile
(Doc ID 2980209.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Fusion Cost Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.23.07.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After the introduction of Enhanced Periodic Inventory Valuation and Gross Margin Reporting functionality feature in 22D (with opt-in)/23C (after opt-in expiry):
In-Transit Intra Valuation Unit transfers are always costed and accounted even if account intra-valuation unit transfers flag is turned off on cost profile. Prior to this feature, if this flag was unchecked , all intra VU (including In-transit) movements were not costed and accounted. The change is to always process In-Transit Intra Valuation unit transfers to avoid any reconciliation issues (example below). The account Intra-Valuation unit flag on cost profile flag is honored for all other situations i.e. where transfers are intra VU but do not have an In-transit like sub inventory transfers, pick transactions, direct organization transfers etc
