Error Message "Unable to Connect to Server" When Using Android Mobile App to Log into Unifier/Unifier Essentials Via Google SSO (Doc ID 2981389.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to use the Unifier Android mobile application to log into a Unifier Essentials environment via Google SSO, the error message below was being displayed. When using the Unifier iOS application to log into the same environment with the Google SSO, the user is successfully authenticated and is able to access the environment. The same users are also able to log into Unifier via desktop with the same SSO credentials.  The URL that was entered prior to login was selected via the QR code from the desktop.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open the Unifier android app on android device.
  2. Scan the QR code displayed when logged into the Unifier environment with desktop.
  3. Enter user credentials using the SSO login page.
  4. The android application displays a blank white page and eventually the error noted above.
  5. Open the Unifier iOS app on an iOS device.
  6. Repeat Steps 2 & 3
  7. Unifier eventually displays the UE environment workspaces and Business Processes, so the user is successfully authenticated.


BUSINESS IMPACT

Users utilizing the Unifier android mobile application cannot access Unifier/UE using the Android mobile app, but can access Unifier/UE via the iOS mobile app and a windows/mac desktop.
