Statement of Direction

Oracle has been evaluating its strategic direction and has determined that we will no longer be providing Oracle Content Management Cloud Services, and are therefore announcing the end of life of our Oracle Content Management Cloud Services offerings.

This notice is to inform your company that the below listed Oracle Content Management Cloud Services offerings have been assigned “End of Life” status and the last date of service for these Cloud Services will be December 31, 2025 (the “last date of service”).

NOTE: Starting May 1st 2025 – all OCM PSM based instances will be shutdown and If you wish to continue using your OCE PSM Based Cloud Service thru the EOL service Date of Dec 31, 2025 you must undergo a migration of your OCE PSM Based instance to an OCI Native hosted environment. The OCM support team will perform this migration free of charge. To request this migration please open an OCE Support SR and request an “OCE PSM EOL Migration”. This note only applies to OCE Instances using the Universal Credit sku’s B89969, B89970 & B89971 and is referred to as OCE running on a built on OCI / PSM based environment. Please Note that if even if your instance is migrated your OCE instance will still be terminated on the final EOL service date of Dec 31, 2025.  Please see: How to Move your PSM-based OCE instance to OCI Gen 2 (Doc ID 3021375.1) for instructions on how to start this process.

Please ensure that all appropriate contacts in your company are made aware of this notice.

If your current contracted Services Period for any of the Oracle Content Management Cloud Services offerings listed below extends beyond the last date of service, we will amend both your Services Period under your order for the Oracle Content Management Cloud Services and the related invoicing to end on the last date of service (i.e., December 31, 2025).

Oracle does not have an Oracle-managed replacement cloud service for Oracle Content Management Cloud Services to offer you. However, as an alternative Oracle does continue to offer the Oracle WebCenter product family. Please see the Q&A section on WebCenter at the bottom of this FAQ for more information.

Thank you for being a valued customer.

While there are other vendors who offer similar services, we are not able to make any recommendations as to a replacement vendor.

Oracle WebCenter is an enterprise-class content management platform that can be hosted and managed in the Oracle Cloud. Oracle will make it easier to implement Oracle WebCenter in the Oracle Cloud by making available preconfigured deployments of OCI Market Place VM images of these products as BYOL and Universal Credit subscriptions. The WebCenter Content BYOL image is available now for download and free to use for 30 days for evaluation (note: you still be charged for any required OCI resources to host the BYOL image). The Universal Credit versions of the WebCenter Marketplace images will be available starting in April.

Additionally, Oracle will also offer from Oracle consulting a managed WebCenter platform solution on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure which will simplify your content management experience. This offering will include the migration of your Oracle Content Management data to the platform in addition to managing the service.

For more information about the WebCenter Product Family Statement of direction please see: WebCenter Roadmap for On Premise and Cloud (Doc ID 3002707.1)

Q. What if I have more questions about the end-of-life (EOL) announcement of Oracle Content Management Cloud Services or wish to consider WebCenter Content?
