Upload/Download Functionality is Not Working for Templates that Include CFAs (Doc ID 2983033.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 26, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service - Version 23.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 23.1 version, Merch - Items

Cannot download custom Item Master template.

The upload/download functionality is not working for templates that include CFAs because something went wrong with the creation of the CFAs, namely a few Views cannot be found in the database.
This is affecting all CFAs for all relevant entities (SUBCLASS, SUPS, WH, VAT_CODES, ELC_COMP, ITEM_MASTER, ORDHEAD, ORDLOC, TSFHEAD).

ERROR
-----------------------
Error ORA-00942: table or view does not exist returned by program unit CFA_GEN_SQL_SYNONYMS.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1 - Go to Foundation Data >> Upload Foundation Data (Template Type: Administration; Template: Custom Flex Attribute Foundation)
2 - Go to Foundation Data >> Upload Foundation Data (Template Type: Administration; Template: Custom Flex Attribute)
3 - Go to Application Administration >> Custom Flex Attribute. For each relevant Application Table and Group Set, do:
3.1 - Push Display Attributes button
  3.2 - Push Activate button
4 - Go to Items >> Item Download from Merchandising

Issue: The system generates an error.

Note: Step 4 can be used for other entities. For custom templates the system generates an error (Items) or invokes the wrong template (Orders). For vanilla templates, where the entity was extended with CFAs (eg. VAT_CODES, ELC_COMP) the tabs for CFAs is not displaying in the file download.
