While Oracle does periodically make backups of your content, Oracle's sole use of this data is to minimize data loss in the event of a catastrophic failure; we cannot perform restoration at a file, folder, or repository level for a customer.

For this reason, we strongly encourage you to adopt your backup strategy. This document briefly presents the options available to customers for downloading and backing up their data locally.

 
Backup Options for OCM Documents:

- Oracle Content (Desktop Sync application)

- Rest API for Documents (/documents/api/1.2/folders/{folderId}/_download)

- OCM Toolkit (cec download-folder)
