Backup & Data Extraction Options for Oracle Content Management Documents & Assets (Doc ID 2983126.1)

While Oracle does periodically make backups of your content in your production environment, Oracle's sole use of this data is to minimize data loss in the event of a catastrophic failure; we do not have the ability to perform restoration at a file or folder level.

For this reason, we strongly encourage you to adopt your own backup strategy, and in this document we briefly present the options available to customers for downloading and/or backing up their data locally.

Backup Options for OCM Documents:

- Oracle Content (Desktop Sync application)

- Rest API for Documents (/documents/api/1.2/folders/{folderId}/_download)

- OCM Toolkit (cec download-folder)

Backup Options for OCM Assets:

- Rest API for Content Management 

- OCM Toolkit

- Export & Import Repositories
