PRC:PON: Application Error Occurs When Suppliers Respond to Negotiations With a Large Amount of Characters (Doc ID 2986036.1)

Symptoms

When responding to a Negotiation with a large number of characters in the Response, Suppliers are encountering an application error which prevents a Response from being completed.

ERROR

An Application error occurred. See the incident log for more information.
An application error has occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident: 47,Server Domain: FADomain, Server Instance: UIServer_as5_03, Application Name: ORA_FSCM_UIAPP.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Sign in as Negotiation owner, go to Procurement > Negotiations > Tasks > Create Negotiation
2. Select with Negotiation template: Enterprise RFP Template
3 Enter description, Synopsis, Close Date > Click Requirements
4. On Requirements page click Actions > Add by Spreadsheet > Import Requirements
5. Click Choose File button > OK
6. File is xxx.zip
7. Once Requirements are imported, click Suppliers Step
8. Delete placeholder Supplier
9. Add Supplier AAA > set Supplier Contact to BBB > click Publish button

Respond as Supplier
1. Sign in as Supplier AAA
2 Supplier Portal > View Active Negotiations
3. Highlight Negotiation (xxx) > Click Create Response > Create
4. Negotiation Overview screen > Next
5. Negotiation Requirements screen > Skip 1. Conditions and Bid
6. Go to section 2. Company Overview
7. In each text entry box, enter a large volume of text > click Next
8. Section 3 > in each text box enter a large volume of text > Next
9. Skip Section 4
10. In Section 5 enter a large amount of text in each text entry box > Next
11. In Section 6 enter a large amount of text in each text entry box > Next
12. Error appears:
An application error occurred. See the incident log for more information.
An application error has occurred. Your help desk can use the following information to obtain a more detailed description of this incident: 17 Server Domain: FADomain, Server Instance: UIServer_as2_01, Application Name: ORA_FSCM_UIAPP.
13. Click Previous to return to Section 6.
14. Error message appears again > OK > Save
15. Error message appears again > OK > Next
16. error: An application error occurred. See the incident log for more information.
17. Save and Close
18. Error in step 16 appears
