Cannot Create New Shells, System Displays Alert Msg "Shell Number: is a Required Field." (Doc ID 2988615.1)

Symptoms

Users are not able to create new Shells using Shell Type 'XYZ_Project' and are receiving the Alert message below. The 'XYZ_Project' Shell Type has 'Enabled Auto Numbering' selected.

Shell Number: is a required field.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log in to Unifier.
  2. Navigate to (Admin mode) Planning Tab > Company Sponsored Shells > Click XYZ_Project > Create > Fill out Shell Detail Form Info > Save. --> Observe the Alert message as defined above.
  3. Navigate to (Admin mode) Planning > Configuration > Shell Manager > Select XYZ_Project --> Observe that the 'Enable Automatic Numbering' has been selected and the format has been set to PROJ-0001.
