Symptoms
After Migrating to OCI, the VMWare Tools 'vmtoolsd' service spikes OCPU and may freeze your Windows server instance. Attempts to uninstall the service can result in this error:
Alternatively, the service may continue to appear in the VMWare Services Console though it was uninstalled.
