Posting Fails with Sequence Not Enabled Error Even When Sequence Definitions are Available (Doc ID 2993752.1)

Symptoms

 Users have defined accounting sequences for  general ledger posting for specific ledger, journal source, journal category and document category combination. Sequences have valid start and end date. However, when invoices are being accounted and posted , the journal posting ends with below error:

The option to require sequence
assignment for all journals is
selected, but no sequence assignment is
enabled. Details: You must enable a
sequence assignment for ledger
<ledger name> , journal source
<source name>, journal category <category name> and effective date
<accounting date>, or disable the option that
requires sequence assignment for all
journals.
