Single DV Workbook Differs Between Visualize And Present Mode in OAC/OAS

Symptoms
A single workbook behaves differently in Present mode than in Visualize mode. Changes made in Visualize mode are not being reflected in Present mode and seem to be "out of sync".
Symptoms may include:
- The data values in Visualize mode may be different in Present mode.
- The filter values may be different in Present mode.
- When running the workbook as a Consumer, some canvases may appear.
Also observed:
- Some canvases in the canvas bar at the bottom of the screen in Present mode have an asterisk at the top right corner of the canvas thumbnail.
- The Manual Mode Active icon (looks like a magic wand) is colored black.
