The account field is not updatable on the Create Opportunity page

Steps to reproduce:
1. Navigate to Sales > Account -> Opportunities sub-tab
2. Create Opportunity -> Click Cancel
3. Navigate to Sales > Opportunity landing page -> Create Opportunity
4. Account field text will appear but Account drop-down box will not.
