Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : NA version, Operations & Maintenance

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Clearance ReST service creating empty clearance group records during failures

While testing the integration between the PMO (Pricing markdown Optimization) and RPCS systems, it was observed that there are empty rpm clearance group records i.e records in rpm_clearance_group table and no subsequent clearance records in rpm_clearance table.

This can be seen when the ReST service returns an error due to an invalid item, invalid date, etc.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
There should be no records created in either table; rpm_clearance_group nor rpm_clearance

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Make clearance ReST service calls with Invalid Item or Invalid Date.
2. Invoke the service
3. Observe that there are empty records created in RPM_CLEARANCE_GROUP table which do not have corresponding records in RPM_CLEARANCE table
