OCI Load Balancer - Transit Routing Between the OCI Load Balancer and the Backend Server not Working Within the Same VCN.
(Doc ID 3003817.1)
Last updated on MARCH 22, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Load Balancer - Version N/A and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
- OCI Network Firewall located between the OCI Load Balancer and the Backend servers does not register any response traffic towards the client from the Load Balancer.
- The OCI Load Balancer works as expected when the OCI Network Firewall is bypassed.
- Intra-VCN routing works as expected if the OCI Load Balancer is replaced by an instance or virtual machine running a load balancing software such as NGINX.
Changes
For existing setups, ongoing migration from Active/Passive OCI Load Balancers to Multi-active Load balancers could cause the OCI Load Balancer to stop working as expected.
