Enable TicketPrint MPS Messages To Stay In Queue After Processing (Doc ID 3005851.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Enterprise Inventory Cloud Service - Version 23.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

By default, MPS_WORK_TYPE.PURGE_PROCESSED value is set to Y for the Global work types and NULL for the rest of the message families. On the MPS Work Type screen, however where the value is NULL, the UI shows No. This causes confusion for the admins as it is misleading to show a value to No when the value for that message family is actually not set to N.

Steps to Reproduce:
-------------------

1. Login to the SIOCS web client
2. Admin > Tech Maintenance > MPS Work Type
3. Notice that the Purge Processed column shows No for all message families except for Global ( which is Y).

In the MPS_WORK_TYPE table, the value in that column is NULL

Business Impact:
-------------------

Admin Users are under the impression that MPS work types have this flag set to N and assume that records generated in the MPS_STAGED_MESSAGE table will be retained after processing which is not the case.
