A Unifier System Error Is Displayed When Modifying the File Attributes of a Document in Document Manager (Doc ID 3006165.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to edit the "Name" field for a Documents attributes in Document Manager (DM) results in the following type of error being displayed in the Unifier user interface in both the Stage and Production environments.

ERROR

"Alert Error Code: <company shortname>-<10-digit index>-UDOCMGR-<5-digit ID> An unexpected error has occurred, and the system cannot process your request. Contact your System Administrator referencing this error code <company shortname>-<10-digit index>-UDOCMGR-<5-digit index>." 

(NOTE: These error messages will be different each time they occur as the 10-digit index just points to a specific point in time when the error occurred)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell where the issue has been observed > User Mode > Document Manager > Documents > SubFolder001.
  3. Select / highlight any document in this folder > In the right pane, click on "Properties" > Name > Enter new name > Click "Save".
  4. The error noted above is displayed in the Unifier user interface.
  5. But in reviewing the Document in DM, the name change is completed successfully and when clicking "OK in the Alert message that popup will close.
