FA:SCM:CST: Item Category in Analyze Product Gross Margins Ui Is Different From Manage Items (Doc ID 3006909.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
In Analyze Product Gross Margins UI, Item Category value is different from category settings in Manage Items UI.

In case of multiple cost organizations, the Item category(Inventory catalog) of the item displayed in the Analyze Product Gross Margins UI is completely wrong for the Item Category assigned to the item in the Manage Items UI.

Furthermore, when obtaining similar Category information using OTBI: Subject Area - ”Costing - New COGS and Gross Margin Details Real Time", the Category value is not the Category value on the Analyze Product Gross Margins UI, but it shows Manage Items UI's one. It means OTBI "Costing - New COGS and Gross Margin Details Real Time" shows the correct Item Category.

Therefore, there is a discrepancy between the Item Category value of "Analyze Product Gross Margins UI" and the Category value extracted by "Costing - New COGS and Gross Margin Details Real Time" OTBI.




Expected Behavior
Item Category value in Analyze Product Gross Margins UI should be same as category settings in Manage Items UI and the Category value extracted by OTBI "Costing - New COGS and Gross Margin Details Real Time".

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create Item and set item category
  2. Run create cost accounting distributions
  3. View Analyze Product Gross Margins UI
