Cannot Login to APEX Using Social Sign-in Authentication (Doc ID 3008655.1)

Symptoms

Note: This document applies to APEX installed On-Premises, as well as on Autonomous Database and APEX Service.

1.- When end-users attempt to login to APEX, they get an error similar to one of the following:
     • The HTTP request to "https://example.com" failed.
     • Error processing request. Contact your application administrator.

2.- Login was working before, but suddenly the error start ocurring

3.- Issue seem intermittent: Sometimes occurs but then it start working again after some time (hours) without changing anything.

4.- APEX login is configured to work with Social Sign-in authentication (such as IDCS or Google).

5.- APEX application is accessed by many end-users simultaneously (numbers may vary, but it might be dozens or hundreds).

6.- This affects only applications using Social Sign-in. APEX Development and Administration are unaffected. 

 

Changes

The application was deployed to production, so the number of user utilizing the applications has increased.
