Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
--------------------------------
The Unifier administrator has set a Company User to "Inactive" at the Company Level.  This was done through the User Administration "Company Users" node by selecting individual user displayed in their User Group in the hierarchy tree in the right pane, selecting the user, then set Status equal to "Inactive". The user is confirmed to be "Inactive" in Company Workspace, but is still "Active" at all Project/Shell levels that this user has access to.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
---------------------------
The expectation was that the Users set to "Inactive" in Company Workspace using the method described, should also be set to "Inactive" status in all the projects/shells where they exist.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Log into the Unifier environment.

  1. Navigate to Company Workspace > Admin Mode > User Administration > Company Users > There are two main groups in the Group hierarchy in the right pane; "Inactive" and "Active" and these have sub-groups organized by categories.
  2. Select group "Active" > Select a User > Select Status, Set to "Inactive".
  3. Confirm that User is "Inactive" in Company Workspace > Admin Mode > User Administration > Company Users.
  4. Navigate to a Project/Shell that same user has access to > Admin Mode > User Administration > Users > Find the user from step 3-4 > Note that the user is still "Active" at the project level.
  5. Navigate back to Company Workspace > Admin Mode > User Administration > Company Users > Find the same user again and open in the "Edit User" window > Select  Status="Inactive" radio button > Click Apply/OK.
  6. Navigate to the same Project/Shell from Step 5 > Admin Mode > User Administration > Users > Find the same user again > Note that the user is now "Inactive".  So the user's "Inactive" status is not propagated to the Project/Shells when their status is changed in the hierarchy groups, but it is updated and changed at the project level when changed from User Administration Company Users by finding and editing the user in the "Edit User" window.
