Last updated on APRIL 02, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The value of the parameter EOM_ADD_DAYS has been set to 28.

Looking to the current weekly and monthly data available after the weekly and monthly jobs being completed, there are some questions:

Weekly process: The closure of the week, finishing on Dec 02nd, didn’t occur as expected
1. In the WEEK_DATA table, the customer realized that the metric associated with the week are empty (i.e., not calculated); they also realized that the entries for the following week were not created.

Is this the correct behavior?
2. In the system variables table, the customer realized that LAST_EOW_DATE remained as for the past week and now is different from LAST_EOW_DATE_UNIT.

Please clarify why this dates are different?

LAST_EOW_DATE LAST_EOW_DATE_UNIT NEXT_EOW_DATE_UNIT
11/25/2023 12/02/2023 12/09/2023

Meanwhile those data have been changed:
LAST_EOW_DATE LAST_EOW_DATE_UNIT NEXT_EOW_DATE_UNIT
11/25/2023 12/09/2023 12/16/2023

Monthly process: Again the SALMTH execution didn’t occur as expected
1. The NOV Month closure did not occur, since the EOM_ADD_DAYS is set to 28. This seems to be OK. However, the customer expects the opening of DEC month in the month_data table and it has not happened.

Is this the correct behavior?

LAST_EOM_DATE NEXT_EOM_DATE LAST_EOM_START_HALF LAST_EOM_END_HALF LAST_EOM_START_MONTH LAST_EOM_MID_MONTH
10/28/2023 12/02/2023 07/02/2023 12/30/2023 10/01/2023 10/15/2023
