Content Update Scheduling Options (Doc ID 3017413.1)

Last updated on APRIL 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1. Is it possible to change the allowable amount of time after maintenance completes to allow scheduling of the content update immediately after the maintenance window?
2. Is there a specific reason why the first available time to update has to be 3 hours after the maintenance window? Users around the world that are looking to access the application after the maintenance window completes and for a second outage to be required to apply the content update is a hindrance to completing the monthly content updates. None of the other products seem to have this required wait time.
3. What if a non-admin user is the first to login to the system when a content update is pending? Are they just allowed to login and work without being presented any sort of warning about the content update?
4. Is there someway to force the content update to run immediately after the maintenance window completes? E.g. Deselect the “In the future, automatically update” and then use epm automate to execute the maintenance window or maybe use epmautomate to execute the maintenance window to run twice to force the content update to be applied?
