Fusion Global Payroll: Element Entry New Date Tracked Update Without Data Changes (Doc ID 3024523.1)

Symptoms

The requirement is to create a date tracked update row to the existing element entry with no change.

Let's say, the element entry exists from 01-Jan-2024. Need to end date the existing row as of 31-Mar-2024 and create a new row from 01-Apr-2024 with no change in element_entry_id.

STEPS

------------

  1. Navigate to My Client Groups > Payroll > Element Entries
  2. Search the person and go to the element entries.
  3. Set effective date to 01-Apr-2024 and choose Edit.
  4. Without making any changes, Save and Submit
  5. Nothing happens - it does not do anything. No new rows will be created, and no errors/warnings are shown.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

---------------------------

A new row to be created from 01-Apr-2024 for the existing element entry with no data changes, only effective date rows to be added.
