Error Message "Error While Getting Search Parameter Values!" When Using A Valid Search Parameter In A Custom Report (Doc ID 3030685.1)

Symptoms

When a Custom Report is built using a Data View, and a valid Search Parameter is entered, the following error is being displayed intermittently.

ERROR

Error while getting search parameter values !!

Debug log shows exception "ORA-01840: input value not long enough for date format".

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open the Custom Report in question.
  2. Enter a valid Search Parameter.
  3. Click on the Run button.
  4. The error noted above is displayed.
